School Fruit and Vegetables - Help us see the bigger picture!
The University of Leeds, in collaboration with the University of Northumbria, is leading an exciting research project to evaluate the Free School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme (SFVS).
We have partnered with 40 primary schools across Yorkshire & Humber and the Northeast to take part in our existing research project, evaluating the government's Free School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme (SFVS). This research will provide valuable insights into what children in Reception to Year 3 are eating and how the scheme is working in practice.

The Free School Fruit & Vegetable Scheme currently ends when children move into Year 3. We would like to learn more about what happens after this change and whether it has any impact on children's experiences and eating habits.
This year, we will be revisiting our partner schools to continue our research. To do this, we would love the support of parents whose children are now in Year 3 and took part in the study last year. As a thank you for taking part in this follow-up research, parents can receive up to £20 in shopping vouchers!
Your involvement will help us better understand children's experiences and inform future research in this area as we will relay our findings back to the Department for Health and Social Care.
